About This Spot
Stepping into L'Amitié in the heart of Takadanobaba feels like finding a little corner of France tucked away in Tokyo’s lively Shinjuku district. The quiet hum of conversation blends effortlessly with soft lighting and rustic wooden touches, crafting an atmosphere that’s both unpretentious and warmly inviting. Here, the pace slows to allow guests a respite from the city’s buzz—encouraging moments of genuine connection over thoughtfully prepared food.

Whether it’s the tender richness of slow-cooked meats or the delicate layering of fresh herbs in a salad, each bite invites you to savor not just the ingredients, but the stories behind them.

Great lunch for a reasonable price. You’d better make a reservation a month before.

Love this place, they have a amazing set course for 2800 yen with foods like duck and steak, as well as really tasty desserts like creme brulee. (Dessert is extra) Cash only mind you, and you'll probably need a reservation. Staff are great here.

Food tasted nice. Excellent cost effectiveness for lunch. Drinks were a bit pricey

If you are looking for good homey french cuisine and don't want to break the bank, this is it. Everything from the appetizer to dessert was delightfully yum. There was nothing to fault. A shout out about their plating, there wasn't any wasteful garniture, unlike some extravagant priced fancy restaurants. Good food at reasonable price setting with great service, what more could your ask for?

The best French bistro in Japan, by far. We try to go there every time we go to Tokyo. Endive salad with Roquefort is an absolute must, as well as the carré d'agneau. Advise to book in advance

House style french with very delicate taste. Good price quality but there are many option charges. Space is not big and wine was so so. But still one of the few quality hommy style french in the town.
